Hellenic Ministry of Digital Governance
The Ministry of Digital Governance is a new entity in the Greek government bringing together all the Information Technology and Telecommunications structures related to the provision of digital services to citizens and businesses in the country. Τhe Ministry of Digital Governance is coordinating activities with all other ministries, government agencies, and bodies, to ensure interoperability at all levels e.g. devices, networks, data repositories, services, people, sectors, authorities, communities. Its strategic target is to develop the necessary framework in order to contribute to the establishment of the inclusive Digital Single Market at European level and enabling citizens and businesses in Greece to truly benefit from interlinked and multilingual e-services.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) holds a very important place in local administration organization of Istanbul. Its area of responsibility encompasses the entire provincial territory, which spans a total area of 5,343 km2. IMM has 28 municipal enterprises, 2 subsidiary public utility corporations (Transport Authority and Water & Sanitation Authority) and around 80.000 employees in total. It is responsible for a wide variety of areas including environment, natural-gas supply, energy, infrastructure, planning and development, IT, transportation, community services and vocational education, health-wellness, food & catering, culture and tourism. IMM is able to develop e-government and smart city projects, especially on urban transport subjects such as public transport, traffic management, passenger guidance systems, passenger information systems, journey planning, etc. and besides that, research & development projects on freight transport and rail transport operations (light rail operators).
Ministério da Justiça – Policía Judiciária
The Portugal Ministry of Justice is responsible for the normal operation of the Justice system, ensuring the adequate means for the prevention and investigation of crime, the prosecution of the criminals, the conditions for the execution of detentive and non-detentive measures, the juvenile justice measures, the social and professional reintegration, the civil identification, as well as the business registry. Several entities under the umbrella of Ministry of Justice may be involved in the project, according to the work packages, tasks and deliverables. The Ministry of justice is composed among others, of: General Direction of the Justice Policy, Public Prosecutor’s Office, the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Justice, the Justice ICT Institute, Policia Judiciaria and Instituto de Registos e Notariados.
Projecto Desenvolvimento Manutenção Formação e Consultadoria
PDM&FC (PDMFC) is a SME created in 1991 by a group of IST (Instituto Superior Técnico – Lisbon) engineers. One of its subsidiaries (Go4Mobiility), was ranked as one of the fastest growing companies in Europe in the IT field, according to the “Deloitte Fast 500 IT Companies in EMEA Report”, two years in a row. PDMFC develops products in two complementary areas: Software development tools and High Speed Communication Hardware. In the software area PDMFC has developed, Tea, a scripting programming language, and I*Tea, an application server for the web. Both have been developed in 1995 when no other similar tools existed (written in Java). Both of these products are written in Java and are used by more than one hundred large customers in twenty different countries. In the hardware area, PDMFC has developed a network card and switch, for high performance networks, based on the Maestro Technology. The products developed by PDMFC have international projection. Two of the products (Maestro network card and switch) were developed in collaboration with several international universities and have been granted several awards. PDMFC in partnership with WeDo Technologies (a world leader in Revenue Assurance solutions) has developed a set of tools that integrate with current OSS/BSS frameworks and help MNO and MVNOs better manage their businesses.
