GLASS FAQs

What is the GLASS Value Chain Definition ?
The GLASS Value Chain provides an initial overview of the main stakeholders involved, as well as the relevant activities that are supported by the GLASS ecosystem and bring value to them. GLASS introduces a new citizen-centric e-governance model that bridges the public and private sector with the following characteristics: digital-by-default, citizen-centric, mobile, inclusive and preserving at the same time data minimization, data ownership and the once-only principle. More specifically, towards defining the GLASS Value Chain we focus on a) the stakeholders, b) the actors/roles under which these stakeholders interact, c) their interactions, d) the technological modules (s/w tools) through which the actors interact and exchange information.

What are the High Level roles in GLASS ?
In the GLASS ecosystem, the aforementioned stakeholders exchange information and documents, called as evidence. Evidence is a piece of information with multiple representations (document, data etc.) for a specific subject which is issued by authorized parties under a specific request. As soon as this evidence is issued, the subject can share it with another party. The latter can verify the authenticity of the evidence. Under this high level operational scenario, Glass foresees the following roles for the aforementioned stakeholders.
What is the GLASS Ecosystem ?
The GLASS Ecosystem introduces a set of technical artefacts (tools and services) which will enable the aforementioned stakeholders to perform their operations under the predefined roles.
